Lotta Lovin was much the best in Turfway Park's $50,000 Cincinnati Trophy S. on Jan. 21 to give the 3-year-old daughter of Repent her second straight stakes win at the northern Kentucky track – she took the $50,000 Gowell S. on Dec. 26. Repent was Florida's leading sire of juveniles in 2011 and has started off this year very well, currently ranking fifth on Florida's general sire list.

After tracking in third until the field neared the stretch, Lotta Lovin went five wide to roll by the front-runners. The Mike Maker trainee finished the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:17.99.

"Last time (in the Gowell), we had a little problem breaking," winning rider Victor Lebron said. "This time she broke perfectly. They had a couple of speed horses in there and I let them go and just took a light hold. She ran a great race last time, so I thought I'd give her the same trip today. Those two up front were going head-to-head so I just took it easy and waited as much as I could."

Maker confirmed that he will try to sweep Turfway's stakes series for 3-year-old fillies and point her first toward the Valdale S. on Feb. 25 and then the Grade 3 Bourbonette Oaks on March 24. Both of those races cover a mile, with the Bourbonette serving as the final local prep for the Kentucky Oaks (G1).

Owned by William Butler, Lotta Lovin now has four wins in nine starts and earnings of $105,303. She was bred in Pennsylvania by Horses of Course Inc. and is out of Passionate Terri, who has also produced the four-time stakes winner Passionate Bird.
