Peyback Manning wins Peruvian Grade 2
Peyback Manning, a 3-year-old son of Repent, rolled to a 3 3/4-length win in the Grade 2 Clásico Hipódromo de Monterrico Dec. 18 at Coloso de Surco racetrack in Peru. The win marked the first stakes victory in the career of the bay colt, who was bred by Machmer Hall in Florida.

Peyback Manning is the ninth stakes winner of 2011 for Repent, who will will stand stud in 2012 at CloverLeaf Farms II in Reddick, Florida. Repent is Florida's leading sire of juveniles, with four stakes-winning 2-year-olds, and $809,385 in earnings for the year.

With the victory in the 2,400 meter (about 1 ½ miles) de Monterrico, Peyback Manning is now 1-1-0 in three starts. He is out of the Forest Wildcat mare Claudia's Type, and hails from the same family as Schuylerville S. (G2) winner Call Me Up and the listed winner Clandestine Caller.
